Elizabeth had a great birthday, which was on January 18th. I took Lizzy and her friend Rebecca to the movies to see the Chipmunks movie and then to McDonalds for lunch. Unfortunately I forgot the camera and didn't get any pictures of the girls together. All and all...they had a great time. After taking Rebecca home, Lizzy and I rushed home so I could work on a cake that her daddy had started. We ordered pizza, which is Lizzy's favorite, enjoyed that while I tried to decorate her cake, which was giving me a hard time since it was 4 layers and had chocolate pudding between each layer. Our neighbors the Willyerd's came over to have cake and ice cream with us to celebrate Lizzy's birthday and the cake was unsure of how long it wanted to stay standing. We sang and served up the cake and ice cream and enjoyed visiting with the Willyerd family. While we were visiting the half of the cake that was left...well the top half anyway...decided it didn't want to be on top anymore and fell right off. Everyone got a good laugh. Luckily we had already had a piece. Those are the memories that make a birthday so much fun to remember.
Lizzy is wonderful, and we're so lucky to have her in our family! She is very bright, and has many talents that we hope to help her develope. She is usually very happy, and is very loving. I can't believe she is already 8.
The one thing Lizzy is most excited about is going to Activity Days for the first time this week. We are also trying to get her baptism all planned out. Mommy is lagging on that! Will post pics. when we have it.
